The markers, which generally look like real guns, are filled by a hopper of small balls of dye or paint. Players use the markers to hunt down their opponents, “killing” them by hitting them with a brightly-colored paintball.

Players must provide protection to their eyes, ears and mouth with a face guard. A loader is necessary to carry the extra ammo.
