Play Paintball? Then You Need A Thermal Lens

Your ability to see your opponents are very important in the game of paintball. If you cant see where they are you have hardly any chance of hitting them.

A paintball mask is essential in the game of paintball. You can't play without it. It's there to protect your face and eyes from being potentially damaged.

Single pane lenses are a pain in terms of fogging. Most cheap masks will come with single pane lenses. They may say they have "fog protection," but all it really means is it has some kind of fog prevention spray on it that won't last. After a game or two of paintball you will probably be in the same boat as everyone else with single pane lenses, and have it fog up on you.

When you are playing paintball, chances are you will get your blood pumping and your body will generate more heat. Unless you have a nice thermal lens, your mask will fog up.

With a fogged up lens, you are basically playing paintball with your eyes closed. Only Chuck Norris can play paintball with his eyes closed and win, so unless you are Chuck Norris, get a thermal lens.

Thermal lenses cure fog problems. They will prevent fog from ruining a game of paintball. The air trapped between the two lenses in a thermal lens keep the lens fog free.

A thermal lens may be more expensive than a single pane lens, but it is worth every penny to have one. Whatever kind of mask you have, you should be able to find a thermal lens that fits it.

It's time for an upgrade if you don't have one of these lenses. For anyone that wants to play every game of paintball to their best ability, I recommend that they get a thermal lens. It is a great investment!
