First I researched as much as I could about the history of paintball. How it started, how its played, and of course, the rules. I found over the internet and from books that paintball was started in 1980's. The game first started off throwing paint pellets towards each other.
This is done using a carbon dioxide or compressed- gas powered paintball gun. The gun is also known as a marker. Marker is the proper term used, gun is avoided.
Through my research I found that the game could be played indoors or outdoors, so I had to find a place that would be interesting to play at. Once I found somewhere I called up my friends and asked them if they would like to play paintball. Of course they thought it would be an awesome idea because they have never heard of the game before. So we talked about it and decided to make a team.
The next step we had to take was to find a show that sold paintball supplies. This was a hard thing to do because there are no paintball stores in my town. So I had to drive to a larger town that was farther away to get the supplies that we needed.
I was quite lucky since I just went into one big store and purchased enough paintball equipment for my team of about twelve people. I bought masks, complete markers, and of course the paintballs. I also got the rules of play manual.
I found it best to split the 12 people we had into two teams that would battle each other. We talked about the rules, safety and we go to know our equipment better before we actually played. Before we stared someone made it a good point to not over shoot and we decided if your were caught overshooting you would get taken out of the game.
Also everyone agreed upon not to ramp because we were all new to the game of paintball. All 12 of us decided that camouflage clothing was what we were going to wear because we were very serious about playing paintball even though this game was new to us.
The opposing teams chose leaders to help organize and everyone thought it would be a great idea to play in the evening because that was when most of could play. Paintball has become popular in the neighborhood and lots of kids want to join and play. Turning down these kids is not easy, but you have to put age and equipment into consideration.
