Paintball is a high-energy and exciting contest for individuals of all ages and abilities. Since its beginnings 15 years ago, paintball has grown by leaps and bounds as far as enthusiasts. Each and every couple years, more groups around the globe are approaching paintball shops to try this fun competition.

Paintball is not a dangerous sport as many people believe it to be. This sport requires the wearing of strong, armor-like gear that reduce the impact of the paintball. The paintball actually travels very rapidly; ,because of this, it is not allowed to play if you lack the appropriate gear. These yards are scattered all over the nation; they all have rules, ethics for play, and provide gear for people that need it. These trained professionals know what is dangerous and what is harmless.

Even though it is harmless mainly if you have the right armor, the mark left by the paintball can cause a small clot around the place of the shot. This, though, is just blood that rose up to the surface and has no where to go. This is not bad and rarely can result any serious health problems for generally healthy individuals. Although, shots to the temple, neck, privates, or chest area can be dangerous - the protective gear covers these dangerous zones is important. Individuals with medical issues must be cleared by their doctor to play. It is at times very exhausting, especially if one player is older battling with kids. So, it is necessary that one can run fast to escape being shot and out of the game. In addition, one has to be able to perspire well because it is a grueling game.

The most well-known game known with paintball guns is 'Capture the Flag'. This game divides two groups/sides in which each of their goal is to make it to the other to capture the other team's flag. If a player is hitwith a paintball while the game is in session, they are out of the game. The middle of this scene is where the rubber meets the road. It is recommended that players eliminate as many individuals from the other side as possible before going for the flag.

Paintball is an exciting, safe way to be involved. Like, however, with any physical activity, it is recommended you have the necessary equipment. Most fields do not allow entry of individuals who lack proper gear. This is to increase safety for each person involved. Also, some have rules against rapid-fire weapons because these can be thought of as an advantage to those using semi-automatics or inferior weapons.

Paintball can be a very expensive sport to play. The armor can cost several hundred dollars and the guns can cost the same. Most places rent the weapon and armor and sell paintballs but people can bring their own if they so desire. Though, it is suggested to invest in your own gear and weapon if you plan on going a lot. Buying the gear like this will reduce expense in the long run rather than renting.
